Delivery Area: Alberton Meals on Wheels delivers in the Alberton area. Pick-up can be accommodated if you are located outside of delivery radius. If you are not sure if you are close enough to this location to receive a delivery, call us at 902-853-3115.
Cost: $3.00 per meal, with an initial one-week commitment.
Signing Up: Call Krista at 902-853-8610.
Information needed: We will take your contact information, dietary restrictions, days you would like to receive meals, etc.
Waitlist: At capacity.
Payment: Arrange pick-up with volunteers or drop off at Maplewood Lodge. Cash and cheque are accepted forms of payment.
Meal Details: The meals consist of an entree, a starch side (bread, etc.), and occasionally a dessert.
Cancellations: We do take cancellations and they need to be made 24 hours in advance. You can call Mike or Krista to cancel a delivery. If your cancellation isn’t made 24 hours in advance we cannot guarantee that we can cancel the meal and you may still be charged for it.
Delivery/Pickup: Meals are delivered directly to you at your door. We do require that you be present to receive your meal. Alternatively, you can pick up your meal. Let us know what you prefer! Meals are delivered or available for pickup Monday to Friday.
Eligibility: To become a Meals on Wheels Member you must be a senior or have an identified need. Special circumstances will be considered.
